We’ve all either heard of someone or been that someone who tries to show their mechanic a car problem, only for it to magically disappear once you finally get to the shop. Car problems are frustrating and disheartening, as they can disrupt your entire day, week, and lifestyle. 

We can’t all purchase new hybrid or electric vehicles, and many of us don’t want to. But that doesn’t mean you have to give up on green driving. While every driver was taught how to use their vehicle in driving school, not everyone knows how to maximize fuel, both on the road and before getting in the car. 

As we all know, winter is a dangerous time for drivers, not only because icy roads can make for risky conditions, but also because colder weather can damage your vehicle, even when it’s just sitting in the driveway. 

Cars have improved over the past 70 years or so, and so has the gasoline we put in them.

A roadside emergency kit is important in any weather — after all, nobody leaves the house expecting to break down.

But in the cold and snow during winter, it’s good to carry a few extra items. Indiana roads get slick with ice, and in the 25+ years of servicing European and luxury vehicles in Indianapolis we know it's good to be prepared for bad weather.
